# List Operations

> List the operations you started, newest first.

Lists the operations you started through the API or the MCP server, newest first. Filters apply after the read, so a page can come back short, or even empty, with a `cursor` to the rest: keep following `cursor` until it is `null`.

Every endpoint that starts long-running work, such as [Create Question](/api-reference/agents/create-question), [Create Review](/api-reference/reviews/create-review) or [Run Report](/api-reference/reports/run-report), creates an operation. [Get Operation](/api-reference/operations/get-operation) lists every `type`, the `resource` it points at and its scopes.

## Authentication

Send an API key, or an OAuth access token, as a bearer token in the `Authorization` header. The list leaves out operations whose type's read scope the token lacks, so a token without `sessions:read` sees no questions, and one without `reviews:read` sees no reviews.

## Query parameters

**status** `string`

Only operations in this state: `queued`, `running`, `succeeded`, `failed` or `cancelled`.

**type** `string`

Only operations of this type, such as `question`, `review` or `report_run`.

**resource\_type** `string`

Only operations on this kind of resource, such as `question`, `review` or `report`.

**resource\_id** `string`

Only operations on this resource. Combine it with `resource_type`.

**cursor** `string`

Pagination cursor from a previous response.

**limit** `integer` (default: 50)

Page size, from `1` to `100`.

## Response

Returns `200` with `{"items": [...], "cursor": "..."}`. `cursor` is `null` on the last page.

## Errors

| Status | `error_code` | When |
| - | - | - |
| 400 | `bad_request` | A filter value is not recognised, `limit` is outside `1`–`100`, or `cursor` is not one this endpoint returned. |
