Delete a playbook so no new review can run it.

Deletes a playbook and its checks. New reviews can no longer use it, and it disappears from List Playbooks.

Past reviews keep their findings. A finding’s check still carries the id and name it had when the review ran.

You need permission to delete the playbook, as in the Wordsmith app. Global playbooks cannot be deleted. Deletes are REST-only: no MCP tool deletes a playbook.

Authentication

Requires an API key, or an OAuth token with playbooks:write.

Path parameters

The playbook to delete.

Response

Returns 204 No Content with no body.
